DAVID HANCOCK

davidA creative, motivated and hard-working professional, David Hancock is one of northern Australia's most experienced magazine and corporate photographers.

He works regularly for Australian Geographic and Outback magazines as a photographer and writer. In 2005 David was named Australian Geographic Photographer of the Year and in 2008 he was the Australian nominee for the Prix Pictec, one of the world's leading photographic prizes.

David is the author of three books about the Northern Territory: THE TOP END, published by Australian Geographic, A VISION FULFILLED, a book about construction of the Alice Springs to Darwin railway and WALKABOUT CHEFS, a collaboration with CDU master chef, Steve Sunk, that provides an insight to Aboriginal culture through food.

For the past five years David has published All About Weddings in Darwin, the most authoritative wedding magazine in the region.

In the 23 years he has lived in the Top End, David Hancock has worked for most Australian newspapers and magazines as well as corporate clients such as ERA, Rio Tinto, Woodside, ADrial, Australian Railway Corporation. Hochtief, Philips, Great Southern, Crowne Plaza, NAILSMA and a variety of government and indigenous organisations.

David regularly shoots at mine sites, on offshore oil rigs, pastroral properties and at Aboriginal communities. He has written corporate documents for private companies and government, including large sponsorship packages for organisations like NT Major Events.

David has the ability of being able to write and take photographs of international standard. He works closely with international designers to produce quality company profiles, business presentations and corporate graphics, including brochures, graphics for trade shows, business reports and web design.
